At Present we are not taking on new volunteers. Other vacancies may be available within Barts Health Trust at the bottom of the page you can find some useful contacts.

Barts and London Chest Hospital  Radio is a charity run by volunteers. In fact hospital broadcasting is the largest charity group in the United Kingdom without a paid employee. When we do take on new volunteers we look for Reliability, common sense, friendliness, commitment and a desire to bring a little cheer to those who are feeling low. Perhaps you fit the bill. It might surprise you to know that only about half our members have ever broadcast. Most are ward visitors; people of all ages who enjoy visiting patients and having a chat. In fact every member of Barts and London Chest Hospital Radio starts as a ward visitor and many remain doing that for many years. That might be what you would like to do. Or it may be that you fancy trying your hand at some other aspect of the organisation, programme presentation, fund-raising, sports commentary or record library work. If that's the case, then we'll make sure that you get plenty training and the opportunity to follow your dream. Several of our members have gone on to work for Radio Tay, the BBC and other stations. Many of today's top TV and radio stars began at their local hospital radio. Many of our members have been with us for a very long time and we have awards for 10 and 15 years service. If you would like to hear from us in the future when we are next taking on new volunteers. We look forward to hearing from you. Please complete the below form and we’ll add you to our volunteer interest mailing list.
